Nagashima Kenjo

Nagashima-cho is the northernmost town in Kagoshima Prefecture. Nagashima Kenjo is surrounded by 23 small and large temperate islands and is blessed with a rich harvest of mountains and seafood.

In February 1967, Nagashima Kenjo Limited was established as a joint bottling plant of five breweries in Nagashima-cho (Miyauchi Shuzo, Miyanoro Shuzo, Nagayama Shuzo, Sugimoto Shuzo, and Minasu Shuzo). (Miyauchi Shuzo, Miyanoro Shuzo, Nagayama Shuzo, Sugimoto Shuzo, and Nanzu Shuzo Limited Liability Company)

Each of the five breweries skillfully blends their respective traditions and techniques to create a unique shochu that has remained unchanged since its establishment, and has been passed down to the present day.

SatsumaShimaBijin, Kuroshima Bijin, Satsuma Shimamusume, Shima Otome and Dannadan are all made from a blend of syochu liqueurs from five different breweries.
